I always love a good barbecue. It’s something that we do every summer with friends and family. I have to say, I do have a favorite brand of BBQ sauce but then I thought, “Do I really know what’s in this?”

I wanted to make things a little more natural and homemade so I found this homemade barbecue sauce recipe and decided to share it with all of you. It’s super easy to make and I’m sure this will be your new favorite!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 5 tbsp. light brown sugar
  • 5 tbsp. white sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp. ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Step 1: Combine the Ingredients

In a bowl, combine all the ingredients together and mix well until the sugar and other dry ingredients are dissolved completely.

Step 2: Bring to Boil

Transfer the mixture into a pot and bring it to a boil. Continue stirring the sauce until it thickens or until you achieve your preferred consistency.

Step 3: Serve & Enjoy!

Once you’ve achieved the perfect sauce consistency, your homemade BBQ sauce is now cooked and ready to serve. Devour it with your favorite homemade BBQ recipes.
