I always love a good barbecue. It's something that we do every summer with friends and family. I have to say, I do have a favorite brand of BBQ sauce but then I thought, “Do I really know what's in this?”
I wanted to make things a little more natural and homemade so I found this homemade barbecue sauce recipe and decided to share it with all of you. It's super easy to make and I'm sure this will be your new favorite!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 5 tbsp. light brown sugar
- 5 tbsp. white sugar
- 1/2 tbsp. ground pepper
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Step 1: Combine the Ingredients
In a bowl, combine all the ingredients together and mix well until the sugar and other dry ingredients are dissolved completely.

Step 2: Bring to Boil
Transfer the mixture into a pot and bring it to a boil. Continue stirring the sauce until it thickens or until you achieve your preferred consistency.
Step 3: Serve & Enjoy!
Once you've achieved the perfect sauce consistency, your homemade BBQ sauce is now cooked and ready to serve. Devour it with your favorite homemade BBQ recipes.
You can chill it in the fridge and store the rest for your next barbecue!
