Star Wars VII The Force Awakens is finally here! After a long and much-anticipated wait, the Star Wars franchise continues in theatres December 18, 2015.
There’s been quite a lot of hoopla around the affair. To be fair, Star Wars is one of the highest grossing movie franchises of all time. And it’s been 32 years since its predecessor came out. So why not celebrate!!?
Amongst the hype, fans and superfans have done their fair share in showing off their fandom. I think I’ve seen it all these days, from Star Wars themed birthday parties, to gingerbread shaped at-ats… I’ve even seen some awesome C-3PO slippers and Star Wars t-shirts.
So as a homesteader I must do my part too! At one point I considered turning my chicken coop into a Millennium Falcon. (I would have called it the “Millennium Chicken” for good measure.) The idea sounded great in my head, but actually doing it sounded a bit tricky. Imagine this though: I’d get a Rooster, name him Han Solo, and stick him in the cockpit! Get it? Cock-pit! : )
I might not have my Star Wars themed chicken coop, BUT this one below has every reason to boast!

This is seriously the coolest chicken coop ever. Chicken Farmer, Mark Anderson, repurposed an old vinyl billboard to create a covering for his chicks.
The vinyl keeps the chicks warm, safe from predators, and dry from weather.
The vinyl billboard is from Star Wars Episode 1 (1999).

“Darth Maul obviously represents how these chickens will be split at the waist, and divided into white meat and dark meat.” [Uproxx]
