How to Make Jello

How do you make your jello? You’d probably answer, buy a pack from the store heat up some water or milk, mix and chill. Well that answer is wrong!! Store-bought jellos are a thing of the past to me. I found a new and healthy way you can make jello and it’s also as easy as 1-2-3. This jello is much much healthier, because it comes from natural fruits!

So if you want to serve something healthy for your family, try this jello recipe. It’s a game changer! And much more practical for us homesteaders who can’t always run to the store.

What you’ll need to make healthy jello:

  • 2 cups of juice (preferably organic and freshly made or not from concentrate)
  • 2 tbsp. of gelatin
  • raw honey or Stevia (optional)

Step 1: Heat Juice

In a sauce pan, pour 1/2 cup of juice and heat it under low heat until it gets warm.

Step 2: Add Gelatin & Stir

Add your gelatin before the juice boils and stir until it dissolves. Once it’s dissolved, turn off your stove and let it sit for a minute or two.

Step 3: Add More

Add the remaining juice in your sauce pan and mix. You can now decide if it needs additional sweetener or not.

Step 4: Pour, Wrap, and Wait

Pour the mixture in your jello mold, cover with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge. Let it sit for 3-4 hours, or overnight if you’re not too excited.

Enjoy your fresh homemade jello, and all the natural ingredients it has to offer.
