Being self-sufficient doesn’t end in the homestead. You have to know how to be self-sufficient in all aspects that you can. If you own a car, it would be great to know the basics in auto mechanic. Not only will it save you a lot of money but it can also save you in case you end up in a sticky situation. I’d have to say, these basic skills aren’t just for homesteaders, everyone who owns a car should know these too!

 

1. Engine Cleaning

2. Jumpstarting a Car

You’ll never know when you’ll accidentally end up with a dead battery. I’m sure you won’t want to be left stranded. Learn how to jumpstart a car here.

3. Repair Rear Window Defroster

You’ll never be stuck with snow in your rear window when you know how to repair it.

 

4. Changing Serpentine Belt

Rough conditions can wear suspensions down. It’s always good to know how to repair them.

 

21. Repair Car Air-conditioner
