Hi to all pioneers and wannabees, I would really like to hear from some of the folks that live in the tiny houses and how you actually do the day to day things like laundry, where you may store winter/summer clothes etc. Just looking into the possibilities of this new way of living since for so long I have been in the standard size house in suburbia. Thanks to all in advance

Winter/summer clothes can be stored under a custom-built bench/sofa along with linens, things can be stored in nooks under stairs or a second loft, and/or under the bed if the loft is tall enough, among other places. In a “tiny house”, every bit of space is meant to be functional. Combination washer/dryers can also be installed in them, though some choose to go the route of only having a washer and line-drying their clothing simply because they enjoy line-dried clothes (my best friend would be one of those). Some live with just two burners and a mini-fridge in their kitchen, but not me. When I laid out the plans, I knew I needed an oven/stove and a tall fridge; I love cooking too much. Also created a space where I could set up my computer workstation comfortably. It -can- be done, but not as lazily as can be done with a full-sized home. In a smaller home, design can sink a home SO FAST if not carefully planned.

Homes used to be affordable when the dollar had value. Now the dollar has little value, good jobs are scarce and people are forced to live in shoeboxes. They say they want to live in shoeboxes but its a form of denial. Welcome to obamas fundamental transformation of the late great USA.
