You will know when the dough is finished.

As it thickens it will form a big clump of dough.

Step 9:

Use a cutting board to keep your countertops clean from dough.

Take dough out of saucepan and place it on cutting board. Do not flour.

Step 10:

Work the dough to finish mixing all the ingredients.

Knead the dough while it is still warm to work in all the ingredients.

Step 11:

crafts for kids
You should have enough dough to make four different versions.

Break up the dough into four separate pieces.

Step 12:

Place the dough on wax paper to keep from staining the counters with food coloring.

Place four rolls of dough on top of baking paper.

Step 13:

Poking a hole in the center helps keep the color from running.

You can wear gloves to keep from staining your hands. If you have no gloves, you can use toothpaste to clean your hands.

Very carefully, mold it over and work in the color.
