Homemade Air Freshener with Essential Oils

Use your favorite essential oils or try new blends to freshen up your home.

Materials:

via itty bitty impact

|

  • Jars (recycled baby food jars will do)
  • Baking soda
  • Your favorite essential oil
  • Foil (if your bottle doesn’t have a lid where  poke holes in it)

Step 1. Fill your jar with baking soda about 1/4 full.

Step 2. Add 8 drops of your favorite essential oil.

Step 3. Add a few holes on the lid and cover the bottle.

You can use a foil if your bottle doesn’t have a lid anymore. It’s also easier to poke holes through a foil.

To use, just leave the jar somewhere convenient for you and shake the jar gently every few days to revive the scent. You can also add more oil as needed.

What’s your favorite combination of essential oils? Let us know in the comments!

This is great and so simple! I mix essential oils with baking soda and sprinkle it on my carpets before I vacuum. It definitely smells wonderfully clean. I am looking forward to trying this out, I just need to remember to save a jar from the recycling bin next week.
