Easy-To-Bake Banana Bread Recipe
Ingredients for Banana Bread Recipe:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup applesauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 medium bananas; mashed
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
Step 1: Preheat Your Oven
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Spray a loaf pan with cooking spray, then set aside.

Step 2: Whisk and Combine Ingredients
Whisk butter, applesauce, and sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Add in mashed bananas, vanilla, baking soda, and salt, beating until completely mixed. What you will get is a smooth mixture with some chunks of bananas. Beat in the eggs and honey to the mixture.

Step 3: Add the Flour
Pour the flour into the mixture and stir again until smooth. You can throw in some chocolate chips to make a chocolate chip banana bread recipe. If you want a moist banana bread recipe, chocolate chips will also take care of that for you.
Step 4: Pour the Batter
Pour batter into greased loaf pan and smooth out the top. You can gently place a piece of aluminum foil across the top to prevent over-browning. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 50 minutes to an hour. Check bread by doing the toothpick test.

Step 5: Banana Bread Recipe All Done!
You can now remove your freshly-baked banana bread from the pan. You can let it cool on a rack or you can dig down while it's warm. Enjoy!

The baking temperature is a little unclear. It says preheat at 350° but then says bake at 325°. Is that a typo or am I suppose to lower the temperature when I put it in?
