Best Easy Meatloaf Recipe | How to Make Meatloaf Like Your Grandmother

This really is the best easy meatloaf recipe. Don’t believe me? Just ask Grandma, or anyone who has ever had Grandma’s cooking.

Best Easy Meatloaf Recipe

This easy meatloaf recipe will help rid your drawers of some extra ground beef or just satisfy that homestyle cooking craving you’ve had lately. With this foolproof, healthy meatloaf recipe, even beginners can learn how to make meatloaf just like your grandmother’s (or better, in some cases). This meatloaf comes out super moist and delicious and if you’re cooking for a crowd you’ll definitely end up with many happy tummies!

Ingredients for Easy Meatloaf

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon each: dried oregano, onion powder, ground black pepper, dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 cup shredded Asiago or Romano cheese

Step 1. Preheat oven

|

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and line a baking tray with baking paper.

Step 2. Mix ingredients

|

Combine the meat, egg, milk, parmesan, bread crumbs, and seasonings in a large bowl. Mix with your hands – a little messy but it’s just easier that way (and let’s be honest, it’s more fun that way too). When all other ingredients are properly mixed, add in the shredded cheese.

Step 3. Shape and bake

|

Shape into a loaf to get the best, most even temperature on your meatloaf. Place on prepared tray. You can sprinkle the top with extra dried parsley and oregano. Bake for 45 mins to an hour, or until thoroughly cooked. Do not overcook or the meat will be dry.

Step 4. Slice and Serve!

|

Serve up beside a helping of baked or mashed potatoes or let it shine on it’s own. Either way, enjoy your delicious, homemade meatloaf!
