There was supposed to be magicians, escape artists, LEGO competition. We couldn’t find anyone to help us find those things. It wasn’t as great as I thought it would be. I did enjoy the free petting zoo.

We haven’t been here in years! We came on the first Sunday of the fair, in the afternoon.nWe went through the gate off of route 14 and found front row parking everywhere. Fairgrounds is a very nice area with rolling hills, car & horse tracks, outbuildings, large exhibition halls, and multiple bodies of water. Great place for biking, walking, picnics, and fishing. The 2023 Du Quoin State Fair was the busiest I have seen in quite some time. There were a ton of booths, great music, and the atmosphere was electric.
